Ordinary Joys started as a way to bring those moments back into focus. A simple game to slow down, share stories you've never told, and find out what really lights people up. Not success or status, but the everyday pleasures that make life feel good.

We made it because we needed it. We'd spent years in New York, worn down by the pace of it all, craving something that could shift the conversation toward what actually mattered. Something simple. Something anyone could pick up and play.

Ordinary Joys first launched in Australia in 2019, where our first two packs sold out completely. Since then it has found its way into homes, dinner parties and weddings around the world. Some people use it to see how well they know each other. Others use it to get to know someone new, or simply to slow down.

In 2024 we relaunched with a New York themed pack that sold out immediately to a waitlist of over 500 people. Our packs are now stocked at Pop Up Grocer and The Locavore, two of our favourite shops in the city.

Our newest release, Ordinary Joys of Everyday, brings together favourite cards from our earliest editions, back when we were hand-packing orders in Australia, alongside new ones that make choosing your top five nearly impossible.
